Moroccan associatios and parties denounce hosting an Israeli agricultural conference
Morocco-Israel, Politics, 9/21/2000

A Moroccan Islamic party urged all the Moroccan organizations and fronts to protest to stop the visit that is to be paid today be a delegation of Israeli businessmen to Morocco and to work on canceling their decided visit's program to some Moroccan areas.

Abd El-Elah Benikran, the leading member in 'The Justice and Islamic Development' strongly denounced this visit, saying that "we well strongly resist any Israeli attempts of public normalization."

Benikran renewed asking the government of Abd El-Rahman El-Yussefi to close the Israeli communication bureau in Rabat, referring that the recommendations of Jerusalem committee headed by King Mohammed 6th of Morocco are clear in calling for stopping the bureau's work, yet he added that "the existence of the Israeli bureau does not mean that we will tolerate the public normalization."
