Established confidence between the Syrian and Jordanian leaderships

The Jordanian weekly al-Meithaq said in its recent issue that the telephone call President Bashar al-Assad made with the Jordanian King Abdullah upon his return back from his recent tour bears more than one meaning and has only one explanation, namely the confidence which has been growing between the two states since more than one year.

The weekly added the explanation in full is that the King returned back carrying in his back proposals concerning the political settlement, especially in regard to Syria as the Syrian track is suspended and efforts are being made to revive it.

The weekly added that the King might have carried with him certain proposals concerning the Syrian track and that the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad wanted to know these proposals immediately after the arrival of the King to Amman.
