UN resumes aids to southern Sudan

The UN Food program on Monday resumed air relief flights to Baher al-Gazelle area in Southern Sudan following a suspension of more than three months.
In a statement, issued in al-Khartoum, the world food program said it could not reach food to the southern town of " Oeil" since the end of May because of the lack of security, noting that in the absence of food supplies prices of basic foodstuffs have greatly increased.
The World Food program said it intends to distribute some 196 tons of humanitarian commodities on 20800 persons in Oeil which is situated 900 Km to the Southern West of al-Khartoum, adding that aids will also go to hospital patients and schools children.
