Morocco, Egypt Fishery Commission Winds up meeting

The Moroccan-Egyptian joint fishery commission wound up Friday a meeting in Rabat with a call to further improve cooperation in fishery related-sectors.

Speaking at the closing session, Moroccan fisheries minister, Said Chbaatou, said Morocco and Egypt ought to make more efforts to ensure an efficient management of their sea riches.

The two states also need to improve the quality of their products and to adapt them to the international standards.

For his part, Siraj Eddine Abdelhafid, who headed the Egyptian party to the meeting, underlined the need for Morocco and Egypt to foster bilateral cooperation through the exchange of expertise in matters of training, scientific research and investment.
