A new strategy for tourism promotion in Morocco
Morocco-Kuwait, Economics, 9/15/2000

Mohammed Bu Leghlagh, manager of the Moroccan national bureau for tourism in M.E assured that there is a new strategy for Moroccan tourism to attract 4 million tourists in year 2004 in which Arabs form nearly 30% and that is a new trend instead of the former one focused on European tourism.

He indicated that Morocco is making greater effort to promote tourism in the Arab market adding that Morocco is tied with good relations with the Arab states especially with Emirates. He said there is a concern to promote the Arab tourism to Morocco in the coming period especially families tourism.

He added that Morocco participated in the tourism fairs in the area like the Mediterranean Sea fair, tourism fair in Jeddah and the Arab travel market and there are programs for Saudi Arabia, Kuwaiti and Bahrain in cooperation with the Moroccan airlines.
