Union of arab bourses to be transferred to Beirut

Lebanese finance minister George Corm signed on Thursday an agreement with secretary general of the Union of Arab Bourses Saafak Al-Rkaibi to transfer the union's head office from Cairo to Beirut.
Kuwaiti news agency KUNA quoted the Lebanese minister as saying relocating the union headquarters to Beirut, its original venue when it was formed in 1981, signals Lebanon's recovery of its financial and monetary role in the Arab region.
The main offices of the union of Arab bourses was transferred to the Egyptian capital during the 16-year-old Lebanese civil war that ended in 1990.
