Quebec's enterprises explore investment opportunities in Morocco
Morocco-Canada, Economics, 9/15/2000

A group of 44 enterprises from the Canadian French-speaking province of Quebec are undertaking this September 25-28 a study visit to Morocco, led by the province vice-premier, Bernard Landry.

The delegation's trip to Morocco is part of a mission to North Africa and Lebanon.

The mission organizers explained that this is the 1st time that such a large economic delegation from Quebec -- 90 members-- is visiting the region with which Quebec is sharing language (French). A large community from these countries is also living in the province.

The economic executives will attend in Morocco a conference on business opportunities, particularly privatization and infrastructure projects before holding sessions focusing on three targeted sectors: information technologies, energy efficiency and vocational training.
