Iraq urges Annan to stop the daily aggression
Iraq, Politics, 9/14/2000
The Iraqi Thawra newspaper urged U.N Secretary General Kofi Annan to denounce the daily aggression launched by the U.S and British jets on Iraq and to move for at least stopping this practice.
The newspaper which speaks for the official Baath party said that Annan's ethical and legal duties urge him to move to say and do something and to end the aggression or at least stop it wondering why Annan is silent toward these aggressions and why he is silent toward receiving from time to time message from the Iraqi foreign minister that reminds him with this daily attack.
The newspaper assured that some victims of this aggression are civilians whose number is increasing and also the amount of destruction in the housing areas as well as service corporations.
