Palestine agrees on resuming negotiations with US participation

The Palestinian President Yasser Arafat held a meeting tonight in Ramallah in the attendance of the supreme negotiations committee.

Following the Palestinian information minister said that the Palestinian leadership agreed on the request of the U.S Secretary of State to resume the negotiations with the participation of U.S officials.

Yasser Abd Rabo, the Palestinian information minister assured that the Palestinian negotiators live in New York to attend the negotiations with an invitation from U.S.A and that the grand Palestinian delegation comprises the Palestinian negotiations Saeb Ereikat and head of the preventive security body colonel Mohammed Rehan.

Abd Rabo revealed an Israeli proposition aiming at getting around the issue of the Palestinian sovereignty on the holy mosque saying that the Palestinians listened to an Israeli proposal that states moving the sovereignty in the holy mosque to Jerusalem's Islamic committee and moving the political rule to the Palestinian country, saying that this proposal states that the Palestinian country would be fully responsible for all the security, administrative and legal espects of the mosque and for the other Islamic holy places, adding that the Palestinians refuse to give up a piece of Jerusalem.
