Confrontations took place among nearly 200 Palestinian workers (from the Arabs of 1948) who have the Israeli nationality and the Israeli police yesterday in the Palestinian City EL-Nasera in north Israel in protest for the closure of a shop there due to which the laborers became unemployed. The laborers denounced being exposed to racism during the confrontation due to which one of them was injured and Abd El-Malek El-Dahamusha the Palestinian deputy in the Knesset during confrontations that took place for the same reasons. Morocco's tourism returns reached 11.2 billion Dirhams (US $ 1.02 billion), increasing by 12% compared to 10.05 billion DH posted in the same period of 1999, says the exchange office in its latest newsletter. The Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has lent the Moroccan drinking water board (ONEP) 200 million Dirhams (US $ 18 mln) to finance drinking water-supply projects.
