Islamic bank lends Morocco us$ 18 mln for water projects

The Jeddah-based Islamic Development Bank (IDB) has lent the Moroccan drinking water board (ONEP) 200 million Dirhams (US $ 18 mln) to finance drinking water-supply projects. The loan will help supply drinking water to 20 rural centers as part of a priority program to alleviate effects of a second drought season.
According to ONEP, the IDB is also contributing to a project to supply drinking water to the eastern town of Taza to be started this month.
