Sudanese - Egyptian agreement for renting agricultural lands

Sudanese sources assured that Egypt and Sudan reached an agreement to rent Sudanese agricultural lands for Egypt in return for the due debts on Sudan.

The sources said that the agreement came in improving the relations between the two states, adding that the Sudanese government presented some solutions to handle the debts case and that Egypt chose this solution, referring that the lands will be invested with half of the debts and to grant permission period for the rest of debts to be paid during 10 years (35 million dollars).

The sources also assured that the used land will not be given up to the Egyptian side and it does not mean granting it the right of domination on it.
