Jihad denounces delay in announcing a Palestinian country
Palestine, Politics, 9/12/2000
The opposition reactions for the Palestinian central council's decision have increased concerning the delay in announcing the Palestinian country on 13th of current September as was intended.
In Gaza, the Islamic Jihad movement assured that delaying announcing the Palestinian country was expected due to the allied U.S position in favor of Israel.
Abu Tarek - one of the movement's leaders - said to sound of Palestine radio that " the former agreements did not commit Israel with specific dates for announcing the Palestinian country, assuring that this delay came as a result of the Oslo accord," referring to that there will be no Palestinian country without Israel's recognition because she is the one who give legitimacy to this country.
In Damascus, the democratic and the public front for liberating Palestine denounced the decision of the Palestinian central council concerning delaying the declaration of the Palestinian country.
