Mubarak reviews with Arafat results of his meetings in New York

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and Palestinian President Yasser Arafat discussed in Alexandria in two expanded discussion sessions the latest developments of the peace process in M.E.

Following the end of discussion, Egyptian information minister Safwat El-Sherif said that Arafat notified Mubarak with the results of his latest discussions in New York with the U.S President Bill Clinton and his meetings with some heads of the European as well as the Islamic countries in addition to their understanding to the situation and the Palestinian right especially concerning eastern Jerusalem and the holy places.

El-Sherif also said that the two president exchanged during the discussions the points of view concerning what was raised by President Bill Clinton concerning continuing the negotiation about the causes that were raised in Camp David and resuming the negotiations about it during the coming weeks which are expected to take place in Middle East with a U.S participation, adding that he agreed on the work and the joint coordination to prepare for the coming negotiations tour, referring to that the negotiations that are decided to take place in the coming weeks will be based on what was reached in Camp David regarding the four raised causes, saying that president Arafat raised dimensions of the decision which was issued by the Palestinian central council to delay the declaration of the Palestinian country.
