Egypt-Palestine, Politics, 9/11/2000
The Palestinian President Yasser Arafat is to arrive at Cairo tonight to meet tomorrow the Egyptian president Mubarak to inform him with results of his visit to Washington and his meeting with U.S President Bill Clinton as well as the high ranking officials.
Palestinian sources said that "Abu Ammar (Arafat) will inform Mubarak with the results of the meetings of the Palestinian central council and delaying the declaration of the Palestinian country to 15th of coming November on a condition that it does not exceed end of the current year," adding that the U.S pressures managed delaying the country's declaration.
The sources assured that Mubarak and Arafat will discuss the next steps in the peace process following delaying the Palestinian country's declaration.
