Indonesian president announces trip to Iraq in november

Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid has said he will visit Iraq to meet with Iraqi counterpart, Saddam Hussein, during the second week of November, reports Indonesian news agency "ANTARA."
After a negative attitude from Washington regarding Wahid's travel to Iraq, now there is no objection from US President Bill Clinton, president Wahid told a press conference in New York.
He said both Clinton and US State Secretary Madeleine Albright did not touch on his plan to visit Iraq during lunch at the United Nations headquarters here.
President Wahid is in New York to attend the United Nations Millennium Summit, MAP reported.
