Morocco's El Guerrouj still tops IAAF world ranking

Moroccan athlete, Hicham El Guerrouj, world 1,500 m champion and holder of three outdoors records (1,500m, mile, 2,000m) still tops the world IAAF ranking released Tuesday in Monaco.
With a total of 1,446.70 points, El Guerrouj comes ahead of American Maurice Green who is followed by Kenyan Noah Ngeny.
Algeria's Ali Saidi Sief, won four ranks, from the 8th to the 4th place, after he achieved the best world performance of the year in the 3,000 m race.
Another Moroccan athlete, Ali Ezzine (3,000 steeple chase) won one rank -from the 10th to the 9th rank- and co-citizen, Brahim Lahlafi, made a five-rank leap (from the 22nd to the 17th).
