Football: Japan Defeats Morocco in Olympic Friendly

Japan's Olympic squad on Tuesday defeated Morocco 3-1 in a friendly played in Tokyo part of the two teams preparations for the upcoming Olympic Games of Sydney. Although they scored the opener, the Moroccans were thoroughly dominated by enthusiastic and rapid Japanese. Two of the three goals were netted by Moroccan defenders.
Morocco had previously defeated a Japanese first league team 2-1.
In the Sydney games, Morocco is drawn in the same group as Chile, Spain and Korea.
