Joblessness in Morocco increases in second quarter of 2000

Joblessness in Morocco increased from 12.9 % to 13.2 % between the second quarter of 1999 and that of 2000, the Moroccan statistics department said. Joblessness among women went up by 2%, while the rate of jobless diploma holders went up by 4%.
The number of active population stagnated in the second three months of 2000.
