Lahoud, al-Hoss discuss results of the Lebanese elections

Lebanese President Emil Lahoud discussed on Tuesday in Beirut with prime minister Salim al-Hoss results of the parliamentary elections held on Sunday in the provinces of Beirut, the Bekaa and south Lebanon as well as developments of conditions on the Lebanese arena.
The Lebanese prime minister praised the efforts exerted by the Lebanese security and judicial sides to ensure a normal atmosphere during the election process. A matter which helped security and stability in all Lebanese areas.
During his meeting with the Lebanese deputy Premier and the minister of the Interior Michael al-Murr, the Attorney general judge Adnan Adoum and other officials concerned in Lebanon, the prime minister al-Hoss said that these efforts enabled citizens to vote freely and the election process to be run smoothly.
Meantime, the deputy secretary general of the Hizbullah party Sheikh Naem Qasem said on Tuesday that the " winning of all Hizbullah party candidate and the resistance al-Wafaa bloc in the Parliamentary elections is considered an additional responsibility to be shouldered by the party in the coming stage in order to continue protecting the land and the people and resisting the occupation." Qasem stressed work in order to improve the living and services conditions of the liberated areas and their adjoining areas as well as to attain needed balance to achieve social justice in various Lebanese areas.
To this effect, France has expressed its satisfaction over the good progress of the parliamentary elections in Lebanon.
The spokeswoman for the French foreign ministry Anne Gazo Sukreh said that these elections constituted an occasion for a political dialogue " open, rich and live."
