Regional-Israel, Economics, 9/5/2000
The Arab states on Monday threatened to cancel all its contracts with "Burger King" restaurants and to boycott this American network if it will not close off its restaurant in the West Bank occupied by Israel.
During their meeting on Monday in Cairo, the Arab foreign ministers decided to " pressure this company through threatening it to cancel its contracts in the Arab states."
The said American " take away" food restaurant announced one year earlier its decision to close off its restaurant at Maali Adomim in the West Bank following Arab threats to boycotting its restaurants. But the Arab League stressed that the restaurant continues its activity in this settlement.
