Jamal Abdul Nasser is of Yemeni origin

An Yemeni historian has stated that the late Egyptian President Jamal Abdul Naser descends from Yemeni origin.
The al-Jame ( the comprehensive) encyclopedia by the Yemeni historian Muhammad Abdul Qader Bamatraf, recently released in Sanaa by the book's general commission said that Abdul Naser who was born in January 15, 1918 in the city of Bani Murr, Asyout of Upper Egypt is of a Yemeni origin.
Thee Egyptian magazine " al-Ahram al-Arabai" quoted the encyclopedia as saying that Bani Murr citizens affiliate to the tribe of Bani Murr Bin Rashed of al-Qahtaneyah tribe and that Abdul Naser family is part of this tribe.
The encyclopedia added that Abdul Naser family moved from Bani Murr to Cairo in 1930 after the death of his mother.
