Arab foreign ministers approved resolutions on Arab solidarity

In the final session of their two-day ministerial meeting, the Arab Foreign Ministers voiced backing to peacemaking drive based on international resolutions including 242 and 338, peace-for-land principle and Palestinians' right to self-determination.
They also supported the declaration of Palestinian Statehood this year.
Arab top diplomats stressed Palestinian people's legitimate rights in Jerusalem, return of refugees, and secure borders and other issues of final status settlement.
They called on the US to intensify efforts to help eliminate the obstacles hampering a fair and durable peace in the region.
The Foreign Ministers declared support for all forms of struggle of Palestinian people to restore their freedom and declare their independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.
The Arab League also called on the international community to put pressure on Israel in order to stop all illegitimate practices and violations of international conventions particularly those related to confiscation of lands and transforming identity of Jerusalem and destroying the Aqsa Mosque.
Arab Foreign Ministers called on Arab states and non-governmental organizations to extend aid to Palestinian institutions in Jerusalem and the Islamic Maqased hospital in particular which suffers a severe shortage in medical equipment, and subsequently affects the daily life of Palestinian citizens.
The Foreign Ministers also called for contacting the Greek government in its capacity as the patron of the Orthodox Church in Jerusalem to take the necessary steps to stop Israeli pressures aiming at buying lands of monasteries under the pretext of leasing them for hundreds of years.
The Arab league decided to urge United Nations and other international bodies to stop participating in conferences in Jerusalem as long as it is under occupation.
Arab Foreign Ministers praised the role of Lebanese resistance and struggle of Lebanese people that crowned with the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces from south Lebanon and the implementation of UN resolution 425.
Arab Foreign Ministers issued six resolutions on the issue of Palestinian refugees including their right to return home according to UN Resolution 194.
They held Israel responsible for the refugees' crisis with all its moral, legal, political and humanitarian implications.
Arab top diplomats called on the UN to send a fact-finding committee to investigate the conditions of the Palestinian lands which were usurped by Israel and to appoint an official who would regularly report on those property as well as ways to protect them until their return to their owners.
They also announced support for the reconstruction process and development in Palestine, urging more Arab collective action in support of the Palestinian issue in all domains.
They urged the international donors to honor their commitments as to development and reconstruction process and encourage foreign investment in Palestinian lands including East Jerusalem.
The Arab Foreign Ministers lashed out at Israel's settlement policies, and entrusted the Arab Group inside the UN to urge a UN Extraordinary Session on Israeli violations in East Jerusalem and other occupied Arab lands.
They also condemned Israel's water policies that have serious repercussions on environment and health conditions as well as cultivation.
The Arab Foreign Ministers also reaffirmed support to Lebanon's right to restore all usurped territories and resist the Israeli occupation with all means until the liberation of the occupied posts including Shebaa Farms.
The Arab Council urged the international community and world countries to pressure the Jewish state into paying compensations for the damage inflicted upon Lebanon, the country and the people.
