A legal advisory opinion on the illegality of Palestinian refugees to accept compensation

Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian lands Sheik Ekrema Sabri gave his advisory opinion of the illegality of the Palestinian refugees acceptance to any financial compensations and he depicted this contradicting what came in the holy Quran and in the Islamic Sharia (legislation).

In declarations yesterday evening, Sheik Ekrema clarifying that this advisory opinion is based on former ones that were issued by the Moslem scholars in which they absolutely confirmed the illegality of selling the lands in Palestine.

As being a blessed land and an Islamic endowment (Waqf) that is not allowed to be sold or purchased, adding that any Palestinian refuge is not allowed to accept the compensation only because he is considered a seller for his land which contradicts with the religion and the Islamic legislation, emphasizing that the refugees who do not want to return home has not the right to accept the compensation for whatever reasons, referring that the refugee has the full right to return home and claim compensation for the harms affiliated him and his sons as well as his grand sons.
