Al-Assad confers with Lebanese officials

President Bashar al-Assad onWednesday at the Damascus al-Shaab palace received Lebanon minister of agriculture Suleiman Franjieh.
Talks dealt with conditions and developments in the region, the situation on the Lebanese area and issues pertaining to cooperation between Syria and Lebanon. Earlier in the day, President al-Assad met at al-Shaab palace with the Lebanese minister of public works and transport Najib Meiqati.
Talks dealt with the situation and developments on the Lebanese arena and relations and cooperation between the two sisterly states.
Later in day, the President met with member of the Lebanese Parliament Issam Fares.
Talks dealt with developments in the region, the situation on the Lebanese arena and issues of concern to Syria and Lebanon.
