Afourki confers with Sudan's foreign minister

Eritrea's President Asyas Afourki on Friday in Asmara held talks with the Sudanese defense minister Bakri Hassan Saleh.

The spokesman for Eritrea's Presidency told journalists that Saleh was carrying a message to Afourki from his Sudanese counterpart Omar Hassan al-Bashir and met with his Eritrea's counterpart Seibhat Afream and several Eritrean officials.

The spokesman abstained from giving more details on already discussed issues during the meeting between Afourki and Saleh on the content of the message the Sudanese President sent to his Eritrean counterpart.

On the other hand, Saleh described his visit to Eritrea as greatly positive. He indicated that the Eritrean- Sudanese ministerial committee will meet in the future to discuss means of developing cooperation relations between the two countries.
