Ten days to appoint a parliament and a president for Somalia

The Somali national reconciliation conference on Wednesday set a 10-day grace period to appoint a parliament and a President for Somalia, in an initiative that would bring back central authority to the country after an absence of 9 years.
The agenda of the conference, which will be concluded on July 30 in a huge celebration supervised by the President of Djibouti Ismael Omar Gelle, said that the representatives will work for appointing 225 members in the provisional national council on July 21 ( today) and then those members will elect the President of the Republic on July 26 and this process will be followed by appointing a prime minister and then a government will be formed.
Official sources in Djibouti indicated that the agenda might change with the possible arrival of the war leader Hussein Muhammad Aided on Thursday to the conference which started its works on May 2nd in Arta, 30 Km to the south of the capital Djibouti.
