Iraq-Iran, Politics, 7/21/2000
Iraq on Thursday refused accusations addressed to it on backing armed Iranian opposition, warning the Iranian government from committing any act against Iraq.
A spokesman for the Iraqi foreign ministry said the Iranian statements provoke regret and that Iraq has connection to the activities carried out by the Mujahidin Khalq organization and its work plans addressed against Iran. The Iraqi spokesman added that Iraq strongly regrets the repeated statements made by Iran's rulers in which they address accusation against Iraq.
On Wednesday Iran held Iraq responsible for the recent attacks held by the armed Iranian organization Mujahidi Khalq against the Iranian territories.
