New fatwa for Israeli rabbis
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 7/20/2000
Former Israeli rabbis council on Wednesday released a Fatwa which states that it is totally forbidden to give up any part of what is called the Torah land of Israel, which includes the occupied city of Jerusalem.
The Hebrew Language Israeli radio said on Wednesday that the two grand rabbis Abraham Shbeira and Mordekhai Elyaho, who undersigned the Fatwa specified that it is forbidden to give any part inside the city of Jerusalem, including the holy al-Aqsa mosque, besides any area in which Jews in various parts of the Israel's Torah are living.
The two rabbis claimed that the said Fatwa is inspired from the provisions of the Torah which considers one who gives any part of the land of Israel as a criminal and damned for ever.
