Morocco recalls ambassador to Qatar for consultation

Morocco has decided to immediately recall its ambassador to Qatar, Mohamed Ben Larbi Dilai, it was officially announced here this Tuesday afternoon.

In a statement released this afternoon in Rabat, the Moroccan ministry of foreign affairs and cooperation said the Moroccan government "has been lately noting with amazement and regret the various stands and attitudes adopted by the brotherly country of Qatar, both at the political and at the media levels."

"Despite the various moves conducted by the Moroccan side, Qatar's stands have been maintained. In this context, it has been decided to recall for consultation Mohamed Ben Larbi Dilai, the ambassador of H.M. the king to Qatar," the statement said.
