Palestinian delegation of 1948 Arab territories to visit Syria

A Palestinian delegation including members from the national and legislative council led by Salim al-Zanoun will head for Damascus to take part in the eulogy of the late President Hafez al-Assad.

In a statement to al-Quds daily issued in Israel on Monday al-Zanoun said the delegation will meet during its visit to Syria with President Bashar al-Assad in order to offer him congratulations on being elected as president.

Al-Zanoun said that the delegation will also meet the speaker of the people's assembly PA Abdul Qader Qaddoura and several other officials.

Al-Zanoun said the delegation will also meet with Palestinian officials in Damascus.
