Campaign for rejecting settling the Palestinian refugees in Jordan
Jordan-Palestine, Politics, 7/18/2000

The Jordanian vocational unions decided to collect 2 million signatures for rejecting their "settlement and compensation" in Jordan and insisting on the right of return and compensation for the Palestinian refugees together.

Chief of the Jordanian lawyers Saleh El-Armouti, head of the chiefs council, said that the campaign will begin in the coming week and aims at gathering the citizens to reject the compensation and the settling, adding that the chiefs' council is currently studying a proposal that is presented by Palestine's union committee that calls a large march from the unions' assemblage to the king Hussein's bridge on the Jordan river to demand ratifying the right of return and compensation together, as well as "denouncing the signed surrender agreements with Israel."
