Agreement signed between Egyptian government, Arab journalists Union

An official agreement was signed between the Egyptian government and the Arab Journalists Union which avails the Union's to carry out its activities in Egypt as a non-governmental regional, international organization in Egypt.

The agreement states on that Egypt guarantees to give immunity for the fixed and transferred assets and properties of the union, its right to own its headquarters, not to be subjugated to confiscation and to be exempted from registration fees when contracts are signed.

The agreement also states that the Arab Journalists Union will benefit from reduced tariffs offered to non- governmental international organizations which carry out its activities in Egypt, as well as exempting the Union from taxes and customs fees.
