Damascus: Journalist Mustafa al-Alloush released
Syria, Politics, 7/17/2000
In its today's issue, the London-based al-Hayat daily said that the Syrian authorities released journalist Moustafa Alloush after the end of his imprisonment sentence because he was member in the " Communist Labor Party."
Alloush told al-Hayat " I left the prison few weeks ago after the end of my imprisonment" which lasted for 15 years.
However, many claim that al-Alloush is in prison with others and that he was jailed because he was a journalist although he was jailed because he is a member at the " labor party."
Meantime, Arab sources told al-Hayat in London that it expect President Bashar al-Assad will release a Presidential Amnesty few days after the taking oath ceremony which will be today.
