A new Syrian government expected
Syria, Politics, 7/17/2000
The Kuwaiti daily al-Rai al-Aam said in its Friday's issue that well-informed sources in Damascus stressed to it that a new government chaired by Muhammad Mustafa Miro will be formed after Bashar al-Assad will take his presidential oath.
The sources said that the ministers are members in the party's regional leadership, including deputies for the prime minister will keep their posts in the coming government, besides the ministers of justice, information, higher education, culture and planning.
The sources added that the new government will be " a government of young ministers" and it will be in charge of ensuring 200,000 job opportunities every year and revitalize the national economy.
The sources also expected to increase the number of women in the new government from two ( the ministers of education and social affairs and labor) to three or four after the number of women has become 15 in the Baath Party's central committee.
