Secretary general of OPEC visits Iraq

The secretary general of OPEC, the Venezuelan oil minister Ali Rodriguez visited Iraq on his tour to the area's countries to discuss the large increase in the international petroleum markets.
The minister held a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart Amer Mohammed Rashid.
Iraqi sources assured that the two sides discussed the possibility of Iraq's increasing its oil production and to commit to what is decided by the international organization, saying that there is a great cooperation between the organization and Iraq and that the international official expressed his relief to the results of the meeting.
