Iran to provide Kuwait with drinking water

The Kuwaiti newspaper al-Rae al-Aam said yesterday that Kuwait is studying proposal presented from a Kuwaiti - British - Iranian joint company to bring drinkable water to Kuwait that reach 200 million Gallons daily from Karon river in north west Iran through a maritime pipeline between the two countries of 300 kilometers.
The newspaper quoted as informed sources as saying that the Kuwaiti negotiations with the company reached an advanced stage.
The report stated that the Kuwaiti negotiator (the water and electricity ministry) made some conditions that must be comprised in the water agreement the most prominent of which is that the company pays the financial cost for transporting the water through the pipeline and that the water is treated and filtered in Kuwait and not outside it.
