Palestinian Islamic Jihad rejects the new camp David
Palestine-Israel, Politics, 7/15/2000

One of the leaders of the Palestinian national resistance movement al-Jihad al-Islami in Gaza strip Sheikh Nafez Azzam has stressed " our position from the negotiation process, in general is clear in that the Islamic Jihad movement rejects the idea of negotiating with Israel as far as Israel usurps our rights and lands."

In an interview with the Israeli radio, Azzam added " we have refused the Oslo agreement and aftermath series of agreements and today we refuse the results of the tripartite meeting in Camp David."

He said that the US is exerting tremendous pressures on the Palestinians because it is concerned for several consideration to come up with a formula serving Israel, noting that what the meeting will conclude is a formula closer to the Israeli view point.
