Larsen hopes to eliminate all Israeli violations in South Lebanon

The UN delegate to the Middle East Terry Larsen has expressed his hope the process of eliminating the Israeli violations on the borders with Lebanon by the end of the current month.
In statements to the press following his meeting on Thursday with the Jordanian Foreign Minister Abdul Illah al-Khatib " we hope to see am urgent end to any violations along the Lebanese- Israeli borders after it was agreed with the Israelis to correct all the nine Israeli violations of the Lebanese borders by the end of the current month."
Larsen indicated that the UN Secretary General Kofi Annan will submit a report to this effect to the UN Security Council by the end of this month, July.
Meantime, the Israeli naval forces on Thursday violated the Lebanese sovereignty in its oppressive practices against fishermen off the coasts in South Lebanon. The Lebanese official radio said the Israeli boats on Thursday morning opened fires of its machine guns against the fishermen boats off al-Naqoura coast inside the Lebanese territorial waters.
