Acts of violence escalated in Algeria

Acts of violence continued in Algeria on Wednesday. On Tuesday night six Algerian campers were killed in their camp near Teibaza area, 70 KM to the west of the Capital.
Eye-witnesses said that an armed group surprised the six youths around midnight and shelled them with bullet fires while they were inside their tent erected on a small coast at the plain of Shanwa mountain, just few kilometers from the coastal Teibaza Summer resort. A site which has been witnessing a great turnout by tourists. The witnesses said that the six youths age between 21 to 25 and they are from al-Medya to the south of the capital Algiers. They witnesses said that this drastic incident forced most of the tourists to evacuate the place.
However, since almost 10 days, Teibaza area has been witnessing bloody aggressions carried out by armed Islamic groups.
Meantime, the Algerian dailies on Wednesday said that seven military men were killed and two others were seriously wounded in an ambush implanted by an armed Islamic group in Douka mountain near Tibseh, 600 Kilometers to the east of the capital, near to the borders with Tunisia. The dailies added that before fleeing, the armed groups confiscated the weapons of the killed soldiers.
Two shepherds were killed on Tuesday in a bomb explosion in Marein which is close to Seidi Balabas, 440 kilometers southern west of the capital.
