Kharazi: Relations with Syria are for more progress

Iran's Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi has stressed that Iranian- Syrian relations are firm and will be developed under the leadership of Lt. Gen. Bashar al-Assad.

In a statement to the London-based al-Hayat daily on Tuesday the Iranian foreign minister said that Syrian- Iranian relations are witnessing daily promotion and that Lt. Gen. Bashar al-Assad will continue to boosting these relations. He stressed Iran's stand in backing Syria for restoring back its occupied lands.

On the other hand, the Iranian FM expressed his satisfaction with the results of recent contacts between Iran and Egypt. He said " the track of relations between the two countries is very positive and that "all will be happy" if bilateral relations which are proceeding forward will be developed. He noted the two sides desire to eliminate obstacles and create better reciprocated relations.
