Norway foreign minister postpones visit to the Middle East

Norway's foreign minister has postponed his visit scheduled to the Middle East until after the Palestinian- Israeli meeting which will be held this week in Camp David.
The spokesman for the Norway's foreign ministry said on Monday that it would be more useful to meet with the sides concerned after the camp David meeting.
Last week, the Norwegian foreign ministry announced its foreign minister will meet with Palestinian President Yasser Arafat in Gaza and with the Israeli prime minister Ehud Barak in Jerusalem before Camp David meeting.
The spokesman expressed his hope to defining a new date for this meeting before the set date of September 13 for reaching a framework agreement between Israel and the Palestinian government.
