Saudi Arabia hold Israel responsible for the ME peace process deadlock
Saudi Arabia-Palestine, Politics, 7/11/2000
Saudi Arabia has held Israel responsible for the stumbled ME peace process due to its stubbornness and in its placement of obstacles before the implementation of international legitimacy resolutions in order to reach a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
A statement by the Saudi minister of information Fuad Abdul Salaam al-Farisi following a meeting for the Saudi cabinet held on Monday in Jeddah under the chairmanship of King Fahd Bin Abdul Aziz of Saudi Arabia said that the Cabinet discussed in its meeting the ME peace process in general and the negotiations between the Palestinians and the Israelis in particular.
The Saudi cabinet ministers also discussed the deadlock the ME peace process has reached due to Israel's stubbornness which prevents the realization of a just and comprehensive peace, based on international legitimacy resolutions and the land for peace formula so as to ensure the restoration of the Arab rights and to enabling the Palestinians establishing their own independent state on the Palestinian national soil with Jerusalem as a capital.
