Hundreds of hectares of Alfa and oak trees were destroyed by a fire last week in the province of Taza, Northeastern Morocco. The fire, that broke out on Wednesday and was only put out on Friday, burnt 1,400 hectares of Alfa and 100 hectares of oak trees, said the water and forest ministry.
