Jordanian concern of the creation of a border talks with Israel
Jordan-Palestine, Politics, 7/10/2000

Israeli political sources said on Sunday that it is revealed from messages from Amman that Jordan is concerned with keeping the current conditions in the " Jordan Valley " ( Ghore al-Aurdun) district out of fears this might lead to creating a joint border line there with a Palestinian state to weaken Jordan's stability.

The Israeli radio quoted this source as saying that specialized sides had recommended the Israeli government to acquaint Jordan, regularly on the details pertaining to the negotiations of the final status and recommended to work for enabling Jordan having generous compensations from the international community for accommodating the Palestinian refugees.

These sides warned against the fact that ignoring Jordan's interests would lead to a great deterioration in Jordanian - Israeli relations.
