Gaddafi in Burkina Faso: Africa should be united
Libya-Burkina Faso, Politics, 7/8/2000

Libyan President Moammar al Gaddafi and Burkina Faso President Blaise Compaore stated the necessity of carrying out rapidly the Sert declaration that was issued by the exceptional African summit in last September which stated establishing the African union.

The two sides emphasized the necessity of enhancing relations between each other whether on the bilateral level or in the framework of the coast and Sahara country groupings.

On the other hand, in his meeting in Waga Dougo with female groups in Burkina Faso, Gaddafi spoke of the need to have a vision for achieving African unity and establishing one African State during the Organization Of African Unity summit in Lumi that is to begin its on Monday. He said that no country can survive alone in shadow of globalization which is the era of large blocs and not national country.
