High ranking Jordanian official heads soon to Baghdad
Jordan-Iraq, Politics, 7/7/2000

It is expected that a high ranking official in the Jordanian government to officially visit to Baghdad this month heading a large Jordanian economic delegation to strengthen bilateral relations between the two states and revitalize it as it used to be.

Governmental sources referred that the industrial sector activities will convene soon in Amman chamber of industry to discuss arranging a large visit by an Jordanian industrial delegation to Baghdad which will be the first of its kind since the election of a new board of directors for Amman chamber of industry on the 12th of the last March under the chairmanship of Ossman Bedair.

Economic observers see that the economic relations between Jordan and Iraq have been affected during the last 4 years with a set of factors that caused a retreat in trade between them and a reduction in Jordan's share in the Iraqi market.
