Iranian- Saudi security agreement

An Iranian diplomat has stated that final touches are being laid to come out with a security agreement between Saudi Arabia and Iran. An agreement to this effect is expected to be signed within the few coming weeks.

This high ranking diplomat at the Iranian embassy in al-Riyadh explained that details of the security agreement is ready, following intensive discussions between Saudi and Iranian officials.

The Iranian diplomat said the agreement will be signed in the coming few weeks during the visit of the Saudi Minister of the Interior prince Nayef Bin Abdul Aziz to Iran. The Saudi government has given the green light to Prince Nayef to start the talks and sign a security agreement with Iran.
