Another reconciliation attempt among warring Somali factions
Djibouti-Somalia, Politics, 7/6/2000

The minister of information and culture in Djibouti Lutfi Abdul Qader stated that the Somali groups who are meeting in Djibouti are studying items of a draft constitution including all organizational structure for the coming State of Somalia.

In a statement to the Sawt al-Arab radio on Wednesday, Abdul Qader expressed his expectations of releasing a final consent on the constitution draft for the united Somali state within few days.

Abdul Qader stressed that the Egyptian and Djibouti initiative to achieve national reconciliation in Somalia are in compliance regarding principles, objectives and rebuilding united Somalia.

However, works of the national reconciliation conference are currently held in Djibouti. According to expectations, one of its stages will be completed on 13th of this month, July.
