Barak to visit Britain, France

Israeli sources said the tour of the Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak which he had started on Wednesday at dawn in each of Britain and France aims at gaining the backing of the European Union member states for Israel's stances in its negotiations with the Palestinian side and Israel's refusal to have a Palestinian state established without its ( Israel) prior consent.
Meantime, The Israeli radio on Wednesday quoted British sources as saying that the talks of the Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak with the British prime minister in London due to have been held yesterday ( Wednesday) in London will deal with chances of resuming peace talks between Syria and Israel, SANA reported.
